shop till you drop

Peach is open and I am stoked. We are doing well, learning a lot and hopefully getting better everyday.  Here are some shots from the multi-talented Jason Kehl. Come in and shop or at least keep me company, I can dress you up for fun.  peach1.jpgpeach2.jpg peach3.jpg

out the door

I feel really unmotivated lately, well actually for the last few months.  I suppose I have been doing a lot with myself, the store opened, more Pilates, and traveling; yet when I am not focused on climbing I obsess over it.  Never has one thing given me so much pleasure or pain. Kind of dramatic, but I really feel this way.  When I am climbing well and a lot my everyday activities are fine, when I am not climbing or sucking at it, I feel lazy.  Now that the weather is cooling off and I finally have a bit of a routine and less obligations…well after this wedding, I am finished being lazy.  I will finger train once a week, climb, climb, climb, and if Denise makes it fun train with her too. So yeah, I feel kind of better. Here are some photos of me sucking, but having a blast with the lady’s.  100_06781.jpgcf-lcc.jpg

Killing time

Wow, I can’t wait for Peach to open September 6th.  I don’t do so well, not having a routine.  Luke thinks I have been working out too much, really I don’t even think that is possible.  All I can say is all the working out has not improved my climbing and doing Pilates everyday might have actually made my rib cage bigger.  So, I took up a new hobbie…hair. Holla if you want me to work my magic. PS: you know you are fabulous if you can figure out who/what gave me the inspiration for this shot.  cerre.jpg

Not to be outshined

Well, this is what it takes to look better than Miss Electra.  It is hard work riding her in that dress with my hair so fab.  The 100 degree weather in SLC doesn’t help either.  Oh, and you can buy that dress at PEACH.  I promise we will open soon, check back for the details. xocerre1.jpg

Without further ado

The wonderful Carmen Electra. I can’t wait until I have a better photo where I actually look better than she does. I hate being outshined, but she’s pretty good at doing that. Bitch knows how to ride.

Polly

Seriously only in Utah would I be convinced that the two middle aged women posing down next to me in yoga are polygamist.

1) long braid and bangs. CHECK

2) came in wearing suspect clothing. CHECK

3) braided wedding bands. CHECK

I think my yoga teacher was on to them too. She asked one of the women if they were, “sisters” and a friendly response of, ” no just eternal  friends”, summed it all up for me.  Oh how I love the SLC.

Sports Action

It is insanely hot in SLC. I hate to leave my central air conditioning for anything except ice-cream and frozen yogurt. Basically I only get out about three times a day. Four if I am really hungry.  This past weekend Luke and I had enough and packed up the new van and headed to Wild Iris.  I know, kind of crazy for a bunch of boulderers to go sport climbing and even crazier for yuppies like us to have a van.  Stepping out of our comfort zone was well worth it.  Wild Iris is beautiful, the rock is solid, and the air is COLD…at least at night.  We had such a great time that we even talked about going back next weekend. Sounds fun, but I think my comfort zone next week will be the  Ritz  Laguana.

Peach

We finally have occupancy of the space for our store. Well, not totally there is still a ton of clothes left behind from the old tenants that is supposed to be removed today. It is mind blowing how much crap this women has going to donations (crap in the space) all totaled probably about $6,000 worth of clothes. I was told if I want anything I can have it for 70% off which I thought was really sweet since its only taken her two extra weeks to get out. Good thing Cathy and I already “swept” the donations seeing that it is in OUR space and we are paying now. Nice of them to offer;) Am I being too cryptic. So stay tuned for more on the store and our grand opening!

Princess in her castle

We headed back to Castle Rock last weekend. We had another amazing trip. I sound like the people I make fun of, but that place is spiritual. Coming home Luke and I always feel refreshed and bubbly, this is in no part because we get to stop at the Outpost for burgers and real beer. A slew of new problems got put up and there are still many projects waiting to get sent. Hopefully this heat cools down otherwise Luke and I will be hitting up estate sales until bouldering season comes again. Check out some photos that Mike took, I might have stolen them off his blog…Oh and I love my Blurr Harmony Tank its the best color and organic. If you want to be cool get yourself one.

Go Raiders

To the baby thugs in the gold Toyota Land Cruiser with the Raiders sticker on the back who flew into the back of our car twice then sped off, YOUR TEAM SUCKS. Once my neck feels better, my new mission until the store opens is to find you. I think I might have anger problems.
