Christmas was amazing. We have spent five years having Christmas dinner at Log Haven. This year was one of the best, the food and wine selection topped previous years. Santa was very good to me this year, he brought me an original blue Herman Miller rocker. I can’t find any photos of the original, but this is close enough. Mine is slightly darker and I would take a photo, but its in transit. Also Santa was up for days building me a lamp, it is so amazing…photos of it soon. Hope you all had a great holiday, xo.

I would be very happy to sit here and drink my tea in the morning. The fridge would need to be moved, but that is an easy fix.
Recently I had to fill out a form and one of the questions on it asked, “what is your biggest climbing achievement?” Well, I really wanted to tell them about my unrepeated door jam trick, but I didn’t think it would go over too well. See, one night at my house some how I managed to get myself suspended on the door frame by one foot. I thought it was pretty amazing, I mean I hook my toes on the door frame, keep my opposing leg dangling in the air and use one arm to keep me on the counter. Sounds easy? Some strong, flexible, and highly talented friends tried it and got shut down…booyah.
I am staring out my window and it looks like a snow globe. It hasn’t let up all day, meaning the canyon I was climbing in a day ago is now covered in fresh powder leaving many projects unfinished. 90% of my friends are stoked because they actually have a reason to pull out their boards and skis. I on the other hand spent years putting in 100+ days on the slopes and am over it. Obviously, I am slightly bitter so I started thinking about all the things I want for Christmas other than to climb on some of the best granite in the country.
