This weekend was wonderful. It involved new problems, bike rides, za, friends, and of course…wine!

Writing this blog has not been much fun lately. Hopefully that isn’t a reflection of my current state. I am finding other things to keep me busy, here is something I like at the moment…no climbing involved!

I love the Green Wall. There are tons of problems and it’s great rock. Denise took these shots, it was chilly.

My birthday is coming up…blah. Since I will probably take to my bed for a few weeks following the big one, I thought I would like a new duvet for a gift. For a while I wanted a few timeless pieces of jewelry, but have come to the conclusion that times are hard and there will be plenty more birthdays for such things. For once in my life, I do not think I would feel good about getting something extravagant. See, I am getting old and more mature! Now, here they are. Which one should I wrap myself in?
Current Duvet / Jonathan Adler (I still like)
Option Two / Inhabit Duvet
Option 3 / Sicily Duvet
I have been using anti-aging products since I was twelve and I feared how haggered I might look by eighteen thanks to my summers on the beach. My family thought I was crazy and couldn’t believe how vain I was. Back in 1993, the key ingredient was aloe and chamomile. Now we know that stuff is for hippies and the formulas I slather on day and night are made by my personal saviors in a Swiss lab. If I could have got my hands on this stuff at twelve, I would easily be passing for eighteen at the moment. Now, I just have to settle for 25 and pray it stays that way for a bit. Check out my secret below, what do you think? BTW, my pupils haven’t looked that big since New Years 1999 or was it 2009?

I would be very happy to sit here and drink my tea in the morning. The fridge would need to be moved, but that is an easy fix.
I am staring out my window and it looks like a snow globe. It hasn’t let up all day, meaning the canyon I was climbing in a day ago is now covered in fresh powder leaving many projects unfinished. 90% of my friends are stoked because they actually have a reason to pull out their boards and skis. I on the other hand spent years putting in 100+ days on the slopes and am over it. Obviously, I am slightly bitter so I started thinking about all the things I want for Christmas other than to climb on some of the best granite in the country. Now, If I could figure out some way to hold my head in this position at all times I would like to keep my hair long. It gives the illusion that I possess thick, healthy locks. Sadly, I don’t think it will look very natural to walk around hanging my head back over my shoulders and will probably cause neck pain over time. SAD.
I have been married for two years. It has been amazing and being totally cheesy, it just gets better and better. Climbing is fun and all that good stuff, but sometimes I need a real vacation. One that involves, five star restaurants, hotel suites, Hammam’s, Cirque De Soleil and Tiffany’s. That’s what I had last weekend in Vegas. 48 hours is the perfect amount of time in Sin City, before you want a hazmat suit and oxygen tank.
I envy the women I see with long, healthy, beautiful hair. It is one of those things that I will never have. Instead, my hair is thin, stringy, slightly curly, and ssslllloooowww growing. Despite my short comings, I am trying really hard to grow it out past my shoulders. It is getting there, but I am always on the verge of chopping it. It is true you should stick with what you know, for example 1) I look better with short hair 2) no matter how long it gets it will never look like Gisele’s. So, my dillema should I cut it? I love this models hair and my hair in these photos.
