Rapunzel

I envy the women I see with long, healthy, beautiful hair.  It is one of those things that I will never have. Instead, my hair is thin, stringy, slightly curly, and ssslllloooowww growing. Despite my short comings, I am trying really hard to grow it out past my shoulders.  It is getting there, but I am always on the verge of chopping it.  It is true you should stick with what you know,  for example 1) I look  better with short hair  2) no matter how long it gets it will never look like Gisele’s.   So, my dillema should I cut it? I love this models hair and my hair in these photos.

I see the light

This weekend was killer, lots of climbing before the wet weather and time change made it hard to motivate.  What is a girl to do when the economy is bad, the weather is cold, and it feels like I should be in bed at 7pm because its so dark? Retail therapy of course! Usually I am on a furniture kick, but lately I gravitate towards lighting. Maybe I am trying to fill my vitamin D quota thanks to this dark weather?  Here are the lights I want to sell my non-existent stock for.

gifts

I am really excited, design public just contacted me and Luke’s birthday present has finally shipped.  His birthday was Sept 16th so, a little late, but worth the wait. I think it will look perfect next to the chair I gave him for our one year wedding anniversary. I know the tradition is to give paper, but I am sure I wrote him a card, I am too superstitious not to.  What do you think?  asteroid-lamp2.jpg

shop till you drop

Peach is open and I am stoked. We are doing well, learning a lot and hopefully getting better everyday.  Here are some shots from the multi-talented Jason Kehl. Come in and shop or at least keep me company, I can dress you up for fun.  peach1.jpgpeach2.jpg peach3.jpg

Killing time

Wow, I can’t wait for Peach to open September 6th.  I don’t do so well, not having a routine.  Luke thinks I have been working out too much, really I don’t even think that is possible.  All I can say is all the working out has not improved my climbing and doing Pilates everyday might have actually made my rib cage bigger.  So, I took up a new hobbie…hair. Holla if you want me to work my magic. PS: you know you are fabulous if you can figure out who/what gave me the inspiration for this shot.  cerre.jpg

Not to be outshined

Well, this is what it takes to look better than Miss Electra.  It is hard work riding her in that dress with my hair so fab.  The 100 degree weather in SLC doesn’t help either.  Oh, and you can buy that dress at PEACH.  I promise we will open soon, check back for the details. xocerre1.jpg

Without further ado

The wonderful Carmen Electra. I can’t wait until I have a better photo where I actually look better than she does. I hate being outshined, but she’s pretty good at doing that. Bitch knows how to ride.

Sports Action

It is insanely hot in SLC. I hate to leave my central air conditioning for anything except ice-cream and frozen yogurt. Basically I only get out about three times a day. Four if I am really hungry.  This past weekend Luke and I had enough and packed up the new van and headed to Wild Iris.  I know, kind of crazy for a bunch of boulderers to go sport climbing and even crazier for yuppies like us to have a van.  Stepping out of our comfort zone was well worth it.  Wild Iris is beautiful, the rock is solid, and the air is COLD…at least at night.  We had such a great time that we even talked about going back next weekend. Sounds fun, but I think my comfort zone next week will be the  Ritz  Laguana.

Princess in her castle

We headed back to Castle Rock last weekend. We had another amazing trip. I sound like the people I make fun of, but that place is spiritual. Coming home Luke and I always feel refreshed and bubbly, this is in no part because we get to stop at the Outpost for burgers and real beer. A slew of new problems got put up and there are still many projects waiting to get sent. Hopefully this heat cools down otherwise Luke and I will be hitting up estate sales until bouldering season comes again. Check out some photos that Mike took, I might have stolen them off his blog…Oh and I love my Blurr Harmony Tank its the best color and organic. If you want to be cool get yourself one.

older=wiser

All the best girls in SLC came out for my birthday.  The outfits were rocking, stiletto’s, flashy jewels, designer jeans, and of course the pants.  I realized growing old is not so bad when you have a great group of friends and are wise enough to recognize it.Best of the Best
