With weather looking sketchy all over the state a few of us decided to head up to Idaho. As usual, it was amazing. Luke, Harry, the dogs, and I drove up. We met up with Sundev, Jeff, and Ben. After falling off the top of this problem I wanted to send close to 59459 times, I finally sent. Stoked!

I envy the women I see with long, healthy, beautiful hair. It is one of those things that I will never have. Instead, my hair is thin, stringy, slightly curly, and ssslllloooowww growing. Despite my short comings, I am trying really hard to grow it out past my shoulders. It is getting there, but I am always on the verge of chopping it. It is true you should stick with what you know, for example 1) I look better with short hair 2) no matter how long it gets it will never look like Gisele’s. So, my dillema should I cut it? I love this models hair and my hair in these photos.

This weekend was killer, lots of climbing before the wet weather and time change made it hard to motivate. What is a girl to do when the economy is bad, the weather is cold, and it feels like I should be in bed at 7pm because its so dark? Retail therapy of course! Usually I am on a furniture kick, but lately I gravitate towards lighting. Maybe I am trying to fill my vitamin D quota thanks to this dark weather? Here are the lights I want to sell my non-existent stock for.

Well, I knew Nate was up to something this spring and summer. I had heard the rumors and watched him smirk when I asked about the stash of boulders he had found in LCC. I continued to ask and at some very low points beg and threaten, but he held his cards close. At one point I might have chased what I thought was his car up the canyon honking my horn and yelling that I had found him. Sadly it was just a family out for a hike and I hope I wasn’t the cause for their daughters tears. Sure, there are plenty of problems to keep me occupied in the canyon, they have for YEARS, but there is nothing better that throwing yourself around on new gems. Yes, that is what I finally was able to do this weekend. Thank you Nate, for sharing with me the boulders I will never be able to find again since you blindfolded me. Here are a few photos the master took. This roof problem was dope, I broke a hold at the top, but am stoked on it. The first move is a powerful throw to a decent crimp. I think its a V6 or V7. The other photo is right before I started (almost) crying after pulling on up top, slipping off and banging my knee on the rock as I slide head first into the cave. For some reason, Nate is always there to witness my worst falls and stupidity .

I am really excited, design public just contacted me and Luke’s birthday present has finally shipped. His birthday was Sept 16th so, a little late, but worth the wait. I think it will look perfect next to the chair I gave him for our one year wedding anniversary. I know the tradition is to give paper, but I am sure I wrote him a card, I am too superstitious not to. What do you think?

I feel really unmotivated lately, well actually for the last few months. I suppose I have been doing a lot with myself, the store opened, more Pilates, and traveling; yet when I am not focused on climbing I obsess over it. Never has one thing given me so much pleasure or pain. Kind of dramatic, but I really feel this way. When I am climbing well and a lot my everyday activities are fine, when I am not climbing or sucking at it, I feel lazy. Now that the weather is cooling off and I finally have a bit of a routine and less obligations…well after this wedding, I am finished being lazy. I will finger train once a week, climb, climb, climb, and if Denise makes it fun train with her too. So yeah, I feel kind of better. Here are some photos of me sucking, but having a blast with the lady’s.

Wow, I can’t wait for Peach to open September 6th. I don’t do so well, not having a routine. Luke thinks I have been working out too much, really I don’t even think that is possible. All I can say is all the working out has not improved my climbing and doing Pilates everyday might have actually made my rib cage bigger. So, I took up a new hobbie…hair. Holla if you want me to work my magic. PS: you know you are fabulous if you can figure out who/what gave me the inspiration for this shot.
